AI Prediction Settings

Purpose

Use AI Prediction Settings to control how far back in time machine data is considered for AI prediction models.

This is configured per machine.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > AI Prediction Settings.
  2. Select the target machine.
  3. Select an Observation period:
  4. Last week
  5. Last 2 weeks
  6. Last 3 weeks
  7. Last 4 weeks
  8. Select Save.

What users see

AI prediction settings — per-machine observation period

  • A machine selector dropdown.
  • An observation period dropdown with predefined options.

How it works

  • The observation period defines which historical window is used for future AI calculations.
  • Changing the period affects future predictions immediately.
  • Past analyses are typically not recalculated when you change this setting.

Best practices

  • Use shorter windows after major process changes or maintenance to focus on recent behavior.
  • Use longer windows if your machine behavior is stable and you want more historical coverage.

Troubleshooting

  • Predictions look off after changing the period -> Model needs time to reflect the new window -> Wait and re-check after new events occur -> Escalate with the selected period and machine name
