Switch Machine¶
Purpose¶
Switch the selected machine (or line) so widgets, analyses, and exports show data for the correct equipment.
Steps¶
- Open App > Dashboard.
- Open the Machine selector.
- Search (if available) and select the machine or line you want to view.
- Confirm the page updates (widgets refresh for the selected machine).
Menu path example: Dashboard > Machine selector > Select
What users see¶
- A machine/line selector (dropdown or search field).
- Updated widgets and KPI cards after selection.
Best practices¶
- Verify the machine name before acting on KPIs or alerts.
- If your site has similar machine names, agree on a naming convention (line/station codes).
Troubleshooting¶
- The machine is not listed -> Machine not configured or missing permission -> Ask an admin to confirm the machine exists and your role has access -> Escalate with the machine name you expect to see
- Widgets show no data after switching -> Wrong time range, machine offline, or connectivity issue -> Try a larger time range and reload once -> If the app is slow or failing to load, follow Troubleshooting > Connectivity
