General App Settings¶
Purpose¶
Use General App Settings to define the default application language for sessions where no user is signed in.
This does not override a signed-in user's language preference.
Steps¶
- Open Settings > General App Settings.
- Under Default app language, select the desired language from the dropdown.
- Select Save.
What users see¶

- A default language dropdown.
- A save action to persist the change.
How it works¶
- The default language is used for:
- sessions without a logged-in user
- the initial app view before sign-in
- Signed-in users will typically see the language defined in their user profile instead.
Best practices¶
- Set the default language to the primary language of the production environment.
- If you run kiosk devices without sign-in, treat the default language as a global operator setting.
Troubleshooting¶
- The language does not change -> A user is signed in and their profile language overrides it -> Sign out and reload -> Ask an admin to confirm your profile language setting if needed
